Juvenile Smooth Lumpsucker (Aptocyclus ventricosus) | Japan

From this angle, the fish is upside-down, with its ventral surface clinging to the inside of the algae, providing a clear view of the fish’s characteristic adhesive disk, which has evolved from modified pectoral fins.
