Echidna polyzona | Barred Moray Eel

This is a barred moray eel (Echidna polyzona). This is the first time this species has been spotted in the area of Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan where this photograph was taken. I witnessed a pair spawning, suggesting that numbers of these may increase. Photographed in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan.
