Male Humpback Whale Intimate Social Activity

These three male humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae) engaged in high-energy social interaction for many hours. The focus of attention was the whale with scars, which was the smallest of the three. The other two took actions that at times seemed aggressive and sexual. At least one of the bigger whales extended his penis. Photographed in the Kingdom of Tonga.
